88 Honda XL 600 Dual Purpose Bike for sale

The color combination is red, white and blue. It has about 10K miles on it,
mostly street. It has been sitting in storage for about 10 years, but the
plugs, oil, etc has just been replaced. It has a new chain as well. This
bike is street legal and gets 60+ miles to the gallon. It is in pretty good
condition, given the type of the bike. There are no broken/missing parts,
just some scratches here and there.

I will be putting it on eBay in a week or so with the starting bid of $1250.
A bike like this typically fetches around $1700 or so based on what I have
seen on the sold ones. I'd like to get $1500 or best offer.

Aren't a "starting bid" and a "reserve" functionally the same thing?
Both would be used to ensure no bid under, in this case $950, could be
excepted???
Placing a starting bid is in effect placing a reserve, in this case you have
a reserve "minimum" of $950...
