The price of PC100/PC133 has skyrocketed lately. The volume parts
are now PC2100 and up DDR DRAM, so the former is more of a legacy
item.
For instance, the cheapest new price for PC133 at Crucial.com is
$47/128MB and $88/256MB. PC100 is even worse, at $70 and $130,
respectively. My sister had an eMachine system which would not
run with PC133, and required PC100 memory :-(

The same capacity PC2700 is $32 and $57, respectively (at Crucial).
