Nice try, but the 600M is a much higher tech computer than the 1150. It
is designed as a mobile computing platform, and will easily provide
twice the battery life of the 1150. The Pentium M is an entirely
different processor from the Pentium 4. The 1150 also comes base
without a CD burner, no wireless networking, a 30 gb hard drive instead
of a 60 gb, and no extended warranty. Configure the systems identically
and you get about $1400 with a $200 rebate. 20% off coupons are single
use, so you can't pass them around to your friends.

I just bought one exactly like but with the addition of car adapter for
$1399. I found that going to Dell store saves mucho bucks over the
internet pricing! Internet price $2000, Dell Store $1399.

That sounds like "Gold technical support," which is a pricey optional. We
have it for our corporate computers, and if uptime is critical to you,
then it's more than worth the extra cost.

If not, then the Dell store with standard "consumer grade" support may be
a fine option - for you.
